Welding Story | K Series Rail Welding Machine & "strong rail"

Baocheng Railway is the first electrified railway in China. In 2010, on the Baocheng Railway Passenger Dedicated Line, when a K165 passenger train passed through the Shitingjiang Bridge in Guanghan, Sichuan Province, the bridge collapsed due to heavy rainstorms in summer, and two passenger carriages were suspended in V shape on the turbulent river surface, teetering.

Fortunately, two tracks firmly hold the carriage, giving passengers sufficient time to escape. Then these two carriages fell into the river after ten minutes. The rails welded by the K190 rail welding machine have not been disconnected from beginning to end!

In this accident, the welding position of the two rails was marked, and the information of the welding head was recorded. Tracing back to its source, we know that "strong rail" came from Chengdu Shibantan Welding Rail Factory, and was welded by a welding superman named Du Dinglin, who was led by K190 welding rail machine.

Since the introduction of the first Ukrainian Barton K190 rail welding machine by Chengdu Rail Welding Plant in 1989, Du Dinglin has operated various types of K series Barton rail welding machines, such as K900, K1000 and K1100, to stably and efficiently output long rail for the construction of the railway network in the whole southwest.
